A major crackdown by police has resulted in over 550 charges in Ontario involving sexual assault and child pornography. The OPP has arrested 122 people as a part of what they are calling a snapshot of one month of work by internet exploitation investigators. IP addresses were monitored in November to track those associated with the production and distribution of child pornography which has resulted in a few local charges. 36-year-old Erik Bodstock from Chalk River has been arrested and is charged with possession of child pornography and making child pornography available. He will appear in Pembroke court at a later date to answer to the charges. 52-year-old Murray Wilson from Lanark Highlands is facing charges of possession of child pornography. Wilson has his court date scheduled in Perth. The OPP says this is just the tip of the iceberg in regards to sexual exploitation of children in Canada.
