Four Renfrew Wolves players are getting a chance to test themselves against some of Quebec’s top Junior A talent.
The Central Canada Hockey League has announced which players will represent them against the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League at the Quebec-Ontario Challenge, taking place in Valleyfield, Quebec, on November 17.
The Wolves will be well represented, with forwards Jason Laroda, Mikayil Kahriman and Kyle Cameron and defenseman Joshua Lalande in the lineup. Mathieu Frechette has also been named as an alternate, while owner/general manager Carl Robillard will assume a role on the CCHL’s management team.
The CCHL says the roster was carefully assembled to create a balanced team, with depth up front, an active blue line and reliable goaltending.
The league adds that the challenge will give players an opportunity to represent their clubs in a high-level interprovincial matchup while gaining valuable exposure to scouts.
