Once the results were in, the numbers showed, incumbent Lisa McGee held onto the mayoral role in Arnprior by a margin of 39 votes.
We managed to get McGee for an interview right once the results came in. She says she’s excited to get back to work.
McGee wants to keep working forward on the initiatives council has put in place from the previous term.
Even though the election seemed to go on and on, McGee says it was a positive campaign and she saw a lot of energy from candidates running to represent their town.
Lisa McGee, along with deputy mayor Dan Lynch, and councillors Tom Burnette, Lynn Cloutier, Chris Couper, Chris Toner and Alexis Young will now represent the town until the next municipal elections in 2030.
Unofficial election results here.
