The town of Renfrew has tabbed Jason Legris to lead the municipality for the next four years.
Legris, who will move into the mayor’s role after a single term as councillor, won Monday night’s vote by a comfortable margin, with just under 1,000 votes more than runner-up and former town Reeve Peter Emon.
He says the community wanted change after the last four years.
Legris will be joined at town hall by an even mix of new and experienced councillors as they work with town staff to get up to speed ahead of a packed schedule heading into winter.
