It’s your turn to roam the streets of downtown Arnprior is your best spooky Halloween, witch or wizard attire this Saturday for the 5th annual Witch Walk.
Hosted by Tina Carr, owner of Tina’s Studio. She says it all began on an idea from her father during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It was something they both wanted to do to help the kids who got shorthanded a lot of fun during the lockdowns. Carr decided to make it a major downtown event involving multiple businesses participating with candy and a spooky scavenger hunt.
In 2021, they only had about 13 businesses participate and nearly 400 people showed up. This year, there’s more than 60 businesses that have joined in on the fun, either a part of the Witch Walk or just being involved in the Halloween festivities.
The event gets underway at 2pm right at Tina’s Studio, and the first person back wins a prize pack.
The event is also a fundraiser for both the Arnprior and District Food Bank and The Longer Table. Tina says it’s just something she wanted to do to give back.
Check out the Arnprior Witch Walk Facebook page for updates.
The Witch Walk takes place from 2pm until 5pm. Tina’s Studio is located at 57 Madawaska St. in downtown Arnprior.
