The Valley is known for having a variety of cuisines scattered across it’s multiple communities and Biryani House adds a flavourful experience to that list.
Biryani House, located downtown Arnprior at 135 John St. N. offers a large list of unique, exotic dishes that originate from Pakistan. Owner, Shahnaz Nisar tells us everything started as a dream, back in her home country.
Initially, Nisar offered her meals through a stall at the Arnprior Farmer’s Market. The community response and support of her meals confirmed what she knew already and she decided to open the Biryani House Restaurant in October of 2023.
Now, 3 years later, her restaurant continues to serve the community with amazing, homemade Asian dishes.
Nisar says small businesses are the heart of the community and is what makes Arnprior, Arnprior.
Biryani House is designed in a way to make it feel at home and casual, rather than being in a restaurant. Their goal is to make patrons feel comfortable and relaxed.
Nisar shared that the restaurant isn’t just a business to her, it’s a dream come true.
You can visit Nisar and her family at Biryani House, downtown Arnprior on John St. N. Dine in, take out and buffet are all available.
They’re open 11:30am until 8:30pm Tuesday through Sunday. You can place an order either online, via telephone at 613-621-4138, or in person.
