SHANE KRAMER For McNab/Braeside Council
My family has a 70 year history in this community and I have been coming here my whole life, making it home for me and my son Malachi in 2018.
My platform highlights are:
- Prepare for residential growth over next 10-20 years as Hwy 17 expands. Ensure it happens in character with our township, protecting farmlands, water table and natural resources
- Prevent sprawl from coming to our community. Ensure mixed housing options are provided, including seniors focused to keep lifelong residents here. Explore opportunities to create business development that takes the burden of property tax off residential owners. Support local existing and new small businesses
- Enhance recreation activities and natural areas for our residents enjoyment including use of Clay Bank and to bring in tourism dollars.
- Improve facilities at Braeside Beach and Red Pine Bay to take pressure off Burnstown Beach and White Lake without taking away what those communities gain from visitors
- Ensure we are prepared for emergencies like flooding and fires in our community including proper training and equipment for Emergency Services and pre-plan for evacuation supports should neighbours be pushed from their homes
- An accountable and open council that listens and plans for the future, that values our history without being stuck in old thinking
Follow me on social media for more about my campaign including my positions on speeding and other issues of concern in our community!
