Advanced voting is under way and it’s a mad dash to election day. WOW FM reporters reached out to candidates running for seats around the council table in McNab/Braeside, to give them the opportunity to share their platform with you, the voter.
In this article, you will be able to read the platform of Aldene Styles running for a seat on council in the Township of McNab/Braeside. This is her submission.
To the residents of McNab/Braeside, I have been requested by WOW FM to respond to the question: Why should the residents of McNab/Braeside vote for me?
My experience as a former councillor for two terms previous to 2014, gives me knowledge of what the job entails. Due to my nursing background I have always cared for people. Therefore, I intend to care for our community by bringing my skills set to the counsel table. Having been raised on a farm in Lochwinnoch, I have an understanding of how important agriculture is to the wellbeing of McNab/Braeside.
If you want a councillor who is professional, has integrity, accountability, listening skills, acts upon your concerns/issues, fiscal responsibility, demonstrates respect to everyone and committed to the residents of the Township of McNab/Braeside, then I am one of the councillors you want to see sitting at the council table.
On October 26, 2026 I would appreciate your support by voting for me to represent you on council.
Respectfully,
Aldene Styles
