Off-roading in the Arnprior area will be a little more challenging as part of the Algonquin Trail shuts down for repairs.
Staff with the County of Renfrew and the stewards of the Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail are advising that the trail’s bridge over the Madawaska River south of Daniel Street in Arnprior will close for redecking work starting Monday, October 19.
The project is expected to last for several weeks, and while access will remain available up to the bridge from either side, the structure itself will not be passable during construction.
Neither group has mentioned a possible detour for ATVs or other off-road vehicle users, but they do thank trail users for their patience as the work is completed.
