Hospice Renfrew aims to help people navigating some of life’s most challenging moments with a new program it has launched.
Heart at Home is a volunteer visiting program that helps reduce loneliness and social isolation, by offering people emotional support, a gentle presence and a listening ear in the comfort of their own home.
Resident and Family Counsellor Christie Zimmerling says the specially trained volunteers are matched with clients in the community.
Zimmerling says the program helps to reduce loneliness and social isolation.
