Those looking to use the pool at the Nick Smith Centre may notice that it’s closed.
In a social media post, the Town of Arnprior shared that an individual experienced a medical emergency in the pool.
Lifeguards on duty responded immediately, and recreation staff, firefighters and paramedics were on scene quickly, however the person did not survive the incident, despite extensive life saving efforts.
The pool will remain closed for the rest of the day and is expected to open tomorrow morning.
