TODAY: The Friends of McNab/Braeside Democracy group is hosting an all candidates meeting Tuesday, September 29th at McNab Public School. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the event getting underway at 7 p.m. Candidates will be answering questions concerning issues focused on the Township of McNab/Braeside and its residents, followed by a Q&A session.
TODAY: Horton Township presents yoga with instructor Sarah St. Germain this Tuesday, September 29. Meet at the Horton Community Centre at 7:30 pm. Drop in Fee $15 Cash per class. Register and pay online at www.hortontownship.ca/payments
TODAY: The Renfrew Public Library hosts a weekly technology workshop every Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Come with questions and problems and learn the basics of computers, tablets, and phones. For ages 18+.
TOMORROW: The youth of Mississippi Mills invite everyone to join them on September 30th, at 7:00 pm, for the community’s annual Truth and Reconciliation Vigil, taking place at Riverfront Park, 272 Spring Street in Almonte. The event starts with a reflective walk at 6:30 pm followed by guest speakers, readings, and a special guests. Following the program, everyone will be invited to place a candle at The Seven Gifts and, in their own time and space, to reflect on what has been shared and how each of us can continue on the path of Reconciliation.
TOMORROW: Embark on a Fall Colours bus tour of Pontiac West with the Chapeau Regionale Gallerie. The tour rolls out this Wednesday, September 30 from Harrington Hall at 9:00 am. Please wear an orange shirt as part of local recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. $25 per person – includes lunch, beverage & bus driver tip. Space is limited.
