TODAY: Arnprior residents can meet their mayoral candidates on the campaign trial this Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Arnprior Legion. The evening will be an informal opportunity for residents to meet candidates running for Arnprior Town Council and ask questions face-to-face. Note that there will be no formal speeches.
TODAY: Get in tune with friends and neighbours at the Renfrew Public Library this Thursday! Call of the Loon Community Singing takes place inside the library every Thursday afternoon from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. Singers will learn meaningful and beautiful songs about the earth, joy, gratitude in a welcoming environment for people to gather and feel part of a community. No singing experience necessary.

TOMORROW: Are you ready to Fall in Love? The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society’s Renfrew County Animal Centre is hosting its Fall Adoption Days event this Friday, Sept. 25 and Saturday, Sept. 26. Adoption fees on adult cats and dogs are reduced by 15 per cent for the two-day event. Learn more at ontariospca.ca/adopt and meet the SPCA at their centre located at 115 Woodcrest Drive in Pembroke.
TOMORROW: The Arnprior Public Library welcomes residents to visit with the Renfrew County District Health Unit from 2:00 to 4:00 pm this Friday, September 25. Meet with RCDHU nurses to find out more about their services and resources. You’ll be able to pick up a well water testing kit, nalaxone kits and information about the health unit’s various programs including immunization clinics, drug prevention, registration for the Canadian Dental Plan among many other services.
TOMORROW: The Calabogie Food Bank and the Calabogie United Church presents the OPP Chorus in concert, this Friday, September 25. The show runs from 7:00 to 8:00 pm inside the Calabogie United Church Hall. Admission is by freewill donation.
