Police in Mississippi Mills say they are investigating after uncovering a disturbing discovery while responding to a weekend vehicle fire.
Members of the Mississippi Mills Fire Department and the Lanark County OPP were sent to a wooded area off Ramsay Concession 12 shortly after 5:15 pm on Friday, September 11, where a person was found dead inside the vehicle.
The investigation is being conducted by the Lanark County Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
