Local police say a probe into multiple break-and-enters in Arnprior has successfully concluded with an arrest.
The Renfrew OPP began their investigation following reports of several incidents at local residences and businesses. Officers would eventually identify a suspect they believed to be responsible and executed a search warrant at an Arnprior residence on Friday, August 28.
As a result of the search, officers recovered a significant quantity of property believed to have been stolen during the reported break-and-enters.
A 43-year-old from Arnprior has since been charged with five counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and one count of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a probation order. The suspect was held for a bail hearing.
The investigation remains ongoing as the OPP continues to identify the rightful owners of the recovered property and its connection to other reported offences. Additional charges may be laid as a result.
