Someone’s Labour Day wrapped up with impaired driving charges.
Just after midnight on Tuesday, September 8th, Lanark County OPP pulled over a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on CR29 near Cedar Hill Road.
The driver was arrested and taken to the station where after an investigation, police charged a 35-year-old individual with:
- operation while impaired – BAC over 0.08
- operation while impaired – alcohol
- speeding
- novice driver – above a BAC of 0.00
The driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and their vehicle has been impounded for 7 days.
The accused is expected to appear in a Perth courtroom on October 26th.
Charges have not yet been proven in court.
