Changes are coming to the leadership structure at the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board.
The RCCDSB has announced that Board Chair Bob Schreader and Trustees Susan Artymko and Anne Haley will not be seeking re-election when their terms end in November.
In a letter to their constituents and shared by the school board, Schreader notes the growth, milestones, and challenges the RCCDSB has navigated in his forty years as a trustee and Board Chair, adding that serving the community “has been one of the greatest privileges and blessings” of his life.
Haley, who currently represents Renfrew, Horton, and Whitewater Region, thanks families and students for trusting the board with their journeys of faith and education. “Catholic education will thrive on new energy and fresh perspectives, and know the next Leader to step into this role will bring wonderful blessings to our community”
Artymko, who oversees Killaloe-Hagarty-Richards, Brudenell-Lyndoch-Raglan, and Madawaska Valley, says her time on the board has been profound and joyful chapter in her life. “I feel incredibly blessed to leave this role with [the RCCDSB] in such a strong position. I am truly excited for the next person who gets to experience this journey, and I have complete faith in the beautiful future ahead for our school community.”
Catholic and Public School Board Trustees will be elected during the Municipal elections in October. The deadline for nominations is August 21st at 2:00 pm.
