Local paramedics continue to earn recognition for their life-saving efforts across the Ottawa Valley.
The County of Renfrew Paramedic Service spent some time ahead of the long weekend congratulating four of their members for achieving Return of Spontaneous Circulation while responding to an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
The paramedic service commended their team on social media, explaining that ROSC occurs when a patient’s heart starts beating again after cardiac arrest, following paramedics’ intervention to provide life support, and they described this act as a “significant milestone that reflects the skill, teamwork, and dedication of everyone involved.”
They add that achieving the feat demonstrates clinical excellence during one of the most time-critical emergencies that paramedics respond to.
