From the Cat in the Hat to Whos small and bright, Renfrew’s young performers will step into the Seussian spotlight.
Renfrew-based theatre troupe Really Cool Initiatives’ production of “Seussical Jr.” begins its weekend run with a sold-out presentation tonight, Thursday, July 30.
Director Jenn St. Michael says the performance will dazzle audiences with a full ensemble of the most popular and memorable characters from the pages of Dr. Seuss.
“Seussical Jr.” features an all-local cast of 60 young performers ranging from age 3 and up to a contingent of teens and students who have wowed St. Michael in the lead-up to opening night.
She also commends the many parents, artists, musicians, and other volunteers supporting the performance behind the scenes, noting that there have been no small roles in the months-long push to put on the best show possible.
Limited tickets remain for their Friday show, as well as the Saturday matinee and evening performances, available now online and at Aikenheads.
