One of Renfrew’s most recognizable landmarks has entered a new chapter.
There is now a small boutique hotel operating on the upper floors of the historic Post Office building.
Caleb Dykstra owns The Post Hotel, with two suites that began hosting guests last weekend, with two more suites to be completed by next week.
Dykstra says when they originally bought the building it had been neglected for years. He says they completely gutted the second and third floors.
Dykstra says the renovations were done in a way that you can still appreciate the building’s history and architecture.
The hotel is completely self-check in.
Dykstra says the project represents an investment in downtown Renfrew, the preservation of an important historic landmark, and an opportunity to welcome more tourists to Renfrew.
The post office remains fully operational on the main floor.
