While sports like baseball and soccer rule the dog days of summer, it’s also the time for families to start thinking about getting their kids on to the ice.
As reregistration for the upcoming season picks up for minor hockey leagues across the Ottawa Valley, Renfrew Minor Hockey Association President Jordan McMillan is encouraging everyone considering signing up for this fall to commit to it as soon as possible.
Early registration ensures families a spot in the system and perks like early bird pricing, while the association’s administrators get to map out the logistic and financial requirements for the season.
McMillan adds that their registration forms will take parents through all of the information the league needs to ensure players get the most out of their experience, regardless if they are taking their first strides on the ice or returning for another round of winter fun.
Check your local association’s website for more information on registration, as well as useful topics such as age groups, deadlines, and financial assistance.
