TODAY: Renfrew’s youth can get some gym time in today at the myFM Centre! The town will open up the Home Hardware Gymnasium to the public for a free session every Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Ages 8+, registration required. Stick around afterward for a game of pick-up basketball from 7:00 to 9:00 pm for just $2 per person. Ages 13+, sign up online.
TODAY: The Arnprior Public Library’s summer reading club will meet from 10:00 am to 11:30 am this Monday, June 6 for their Bike Blast event! Bring your bike, trike or scooter and we will decorate our rides! They will also learn about bike safety and read some fun biking-themed books. Attendees must be part of the summer reading club to take part. Sign up online.
TODAY: Cold Bear Brewery in Arnprior hosts their new cornhole league Monday nights at 6:00 pm! The greatest athletes in Arnprior and the surrounding area will gather at their Madawaska Blvd. location to compete for a Cold Bear gift card. Games will be played in teams of 2, sign up as a team for $5. Plus, BBQ will be available as a dinner option on Monday nights!
TOMORROW: Enterprise Renfrew County hosts a free webinar on Resilient Agriculture: Navigating Climate Change in Renfrew County, this Tuesday July 7 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Participants will learn to assess climate related vulnerabilities within their businesses, implement targeted mitigation strategies to reduce risk, and support resilient food systems through sustainable practices.
TOMORROW: The Renfrew Public Library hosts a weekly technology workshop every Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Come with questions and problems and learn the basics of computers, tablets, and phones. For ages 18+.
TOMORROW: Get ready to play one of the world’s fastest growing sports! Pickleball is played every Tuesday from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the myFM Centre. Sign up for $4/session online.
