An Arnprior resident has been charged after ditching a flaming vehicle on Highway 29 in Mississippi Mills.
Lanark County OPP say the incident occurred Wednesday evening (June 24th) about 745PM.
Police, and members of the Mississippi Mills Fire Department attended.
Witnesses told officers the man initially spoke with them, but hoofed it into an adjacent field when police approached.
He was located on site and was arrested.
32 year-old Miles Moulton of Arnprior has been charged with Failure or refusal to comply with a demand, and failure to remain.
Moulton was released with a court date of August 10th in Perth.
The vehicle was impounded for a week, and the driver’s licence pulled for 90 days.
