Here’s what’s going on in Arnprior and area over the next 48 hours.
Arnprior:
Today: A Community Chess Club meet-up takes place from Noon-5PM in the Art Corridor of the Arnprior Public Library. This is an informal meetup for all ages and skill levels.
A Therapy Dog Visit happens every Wednesday from 3-330PM at the Arnprior Public Library as Clancy and his handler Angela to meet with library visitors. Clancy is a happy Glen of Imaal Terrier. His breed is originally from Ireland. They were farm dogs and used for hunting fox and badger. Stop by to meet Clancy as he gains more community hours through the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program in partnership with the Arnprior Public Library.
Tomorrow: A Mahjong Meet-up takes place from 1230-330PM each Thursday in the Arnprior Library’s Scharf Hall. Adults who are looking to learn this game are most welcome to join.

Cooper is a super friendly Golden Retriever and always loves making new friends. Stop by to meet Cooper as he gains more community hours through the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.
Take Note: The Arnprior and District Museum is hosting a series of themed Summer Camps designed to foster cooperation and creative problem-solving across History, Art, and Science indoors and outdoors all summer long. Programming runs from 8:30-3:30 June 29th to August 28th, with extended hours 7:45-4:30 available for an additional fee. Kids from 4 to 10 years of age are invited to sign up.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: You’re invited to participate in Pilates in the Park- a Participaction Free Activity from 7-8PM at Central Park in Riverfront Estates. Jayla Currie and Sam MacLeod will lead you through some low impact strengthening exercises. Bring a yoga mat or towel.
Tomorrow: Drop in to play Pickleball in Pakenham from 6-9PM at the Stewart Community Centre. Cost is $4 per hour adults, or $6 non-resident. $2 per hour, youth- $3 non-resident. Paddles and balls available to use at no charge.
Carleton Place:
Today: The free Community Breakfast occurs from 8-10AM at St. James Anglican Church, 225 Edmund Street. All are welcome.
Tomorrow: NLCC Bingo takes place from 4:30-9:30PM at the Navy League Club of Canada building, 137 John Street. Doors open at 4:30, ticket sales start at 5:30 pm. Cash only. There are 50/50 tickets, Break open tickets and a canteen.
