The Downtown Arnprior streetscape is a pleasant mix of established businesses and promising newcomers, and occupying prime real estate at 109 John Street North is Central Canine, owned and operated by Gracie Dillon. Her Dog Grooming Shop is adjacent to Arnprior’s Gold Barbershop- and the clever might be tempted to rename the block, “Saville Row”. It’s happened more than once that a customer in need of a haircut has stumbled into the wrong premises by mistake. Gracie simply redirects them; she’s not out to steal anyone’s business- just to build her own. Gracie is a hands-on proprietor, and is completing the renos of former “The John Street Shop” on her own. In fact, the young entrepreneur is just fresh out of school. Gracie says her grooming business, Central Canine, will be expanding to meet demand; Gracie has hired a second groomer, and is contemplating adding a dog training centre at her property on Dacosta Street, based on earlier experiences State-side, where she’d studied in North Carolina.
