Arnprior:
Today: English Lessons for all levels are now being offered Thursdays from 1030AM-230PM in the Main Community Hall at the Arnprior Public Library. The event, in partnership with the Renfrew County District School Board will be offered until the end of June. Lana Johnston (English as a Second Language Instructor for Adults) will be hosting. There are 30 seats available, and registration is encouraged at the link posted on the Library events calendar.
A Mahjong Meet-up takes place from 1230-330PM each Thursday in the Arnprior Library’s Scharf (Scarf) Hall. Adults who are looking to learn this game are most welcome to join.
A Therapy Dog Visit happens every Thursday, from 3-330PM as the Arnprior Library welcomes Cooper and his handler Carrie to meet with library visitors. Cooper is a super friendly Golden Retriever and always loves making new friends. Stop by to meet Cooper as he gains more community hours through the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.
Dungeons & Dragons happens Thursdays in the Arnprior Library’s Main Community Hall from 300-450PM. This Dungeons & Dragons program is for both experienced players and those new to the game. Tomorrow: Toddler Tales is an event for Children aged 12 months to 2.5 years taking place from 10-1030AM in the Library’s sunny Scharf Hall. To join in on themed stories, songs, rhymes and a fun craft all you need is your library card to get a name tag and participate.
English Lessons for beginners In-Person happens from 10AM-Noon in the Gaumand Room of the Arnprior Public Library. Newcomers are welcome to attend this free drop-in ESL program led by qualified volunteer tutors. The Friday meet-ups are geared toward beginner learners. Meet new people, enjoy a coffee and improve your English skills.
A Drop-in Preschool Story Time takes place from 11-1130AM for children ages 2.5 to school age are invited to our beautiful sunny Scharf Hall for themed stories, songs, rhymes and a fun craft for this half hour of library fun. All you need is your library card to get a name tag and enjoy the fun every Friday.
A Bridge Club drop in welcomes players from beginners to experienced Fridays from 1230-330PM in the Main Community Hall of the Arnprior Public Library. There is no fee or registration to attend, however donations will be accepted in support of the High School’s Guidance Office and their Teens in Need program.
Take Note: The Arnprior and District Museum invites you to the Fibre Arts Drop In, to occur on Sunday June 14th at 2PM as local Spinner and Weaver Jenny Croft will lead a free, family-friendly public fibre arts drop in. Find out about the Museum’s new loom and spinning equipment that are available for public use.

The Perfect Time: A Musical is being presented at the Almonte Old Town Hall, beginning at 730PM. The Perfect Time is a funny, passionate and relatable musical that follows Gen-X professionals preparing for a high-school reunion while their kids stare down graduation. This new Canadian musical by James and Kelly Torck is directed by Kris Riendeau. Presented by Humm Team Productions and The 20 Bureau. Performances will occur evenings May 23rd, 29th and 30th with 2PM matinees May 24th and 31st

Today: NLCC Bingo happens from 430-930PM at the Navy League building located at 137 John Street. Games have a 645PM start. Doors open at 4:30PM, ticket sales start at 5:30. Cash only. There are 50/50 tickets, Break open tickets and a Canteen.
Families in Crisis – You’re Not Alone a four-week series of sessions happens from 630-830PM at St. Mary’s Parish Hall, 28 Hawthorne Avenue. If you feel embarrassed, angry, fearful, anxious, hurt, lonely, frustrated or shameful due to someone you love and deeply care for having major issues with; isolation, anxiety, depression, prescription drugs, pills, illegal drugs, alcohol, marijuana, gambling, shopping, anorexia, bulimia, and/or abuse (sexual, verbal, physical, emotional you are cordially invited to attend. The May 21st topic is Family of origin. You must register to ensure your spot for each session.
