The Lanark County Food Bank has a permanent home.
Manager Tammy Parent explained why 115 Industrial Avenue in Carleton Place was their ideal location after a lengthy search.
Parent said the property comes with long-term savings.
Demand has never been greater, so finding the food banks first permanent home in its 35 year history was important.
70% of their users reside in Carleton Place, which is why keeping their presence in that area was a priority.
They hope to open in the fall after retrofitting the facility.
