Provincial police say a 56-year-old man from Arnprior is dead following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 417 west of Ottawa.
Officers with the Ontario Provincial Police say they were called to the scene near Kinburn Side Road at about 6 a.m. Friday. The vehicle was found in a ditch.
Police say the driver, the lone occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ontario Provincial Police are continuing to investigate with the assistance of technical collision investigators and a reconstructionist.
The westbound lanes of Highway 417 were closed between Kinburn Side Road and Panmure Road for several hours during the investigation.
