Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement. According to Meteorologists, two waves of precipitation may lead to freezing rain or freezing drizzle along portions of the Ottawa River valley on Tuesday. The forecast warns of periods of freezing rain or freezing drizzle, with rainfall amounts in the 20 to 30 millimetre range possible. However, they’re still uncertain whether temperatures will remain below the freezing mark during the waves of precipitation. Should temperatures stay above zero, this would bring rain instead of freezing rain. We’re expected the wet weather to arrive Tuesday morning and last into the evening. In the case of freezing rain, motorists are advised to allow extra time to get to their destination and power outages are possible.
