Having critical medical equipment in one’s community is important for many reasons.
So, Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital is sharing the good news that it has earned National Echocardiography Accreditation.
The accolade, from Accreditation Canada Diagnostics confirms that CPDMH’s Diagnostic Imaging department meets the national Standards for Provision of Echocardiography (2021) for transthoracic echocardiography (TTE).
The certificate was issued December 18th, 2025 and remains valid through November 29th, 2029.
Transthoracic echocardiography is a non-invasive heart ultrasound.
For residents of Carleton Place and the surrounding region, this accreditation means patients can access high-quality cardiac diagnostic imaging services locally, without needing to travel to larger urban centres.
