It’s your money, check out how the Municipality is putting it to use.
Mississippi Mills has updated its Reserves and Reserve Funds Policy after conducting a comprehensive review.
Among key changes:
Combining the two Mississippi Mills Fire Department reserve accounts into one to streamlined fire services account.
Moving $3,709,832 from the general capital reserve into the operating and capital stabilization reserves.
Municipal auditors KPMG also recommended an annual review of minimum reserve levels to assure they remain appropriate, and tracking reserves on a per-household basis.
The moves were enacted at the March 10th Municipal Meeting.
