Here’s what’s going on in Arnprior and area over the next 48 hours.
Arnprior:
Tomorrow: The Galilee Centre, 398 John Street North, invites residents to attend a commemoration of St. Patrick’s Day, beginning at 930AM. The event is an introduction to Celtic Spirituality involving the teachings of St. Patrick and St. Brigid, led by Tim Kehoe and Mike McBane. The lesson will be followed by an Irish Celebration Luncheon. Cost for the luncheon and program is $50. Cost for the luncheon only is $22.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: The March Break Wild Adventure Camp begins at the Mill of Kintail Conservation Area at 9AM Monday and runs through Friday March 20th. It is for ages 6-12. There are Early Drop-Off and Late Pick-Up options available for additional fees. To register: complete payment via the portal: https://mvca-102588.square.site/ and availability may be sold out. You’ll be required to download and complete a ‘Day Camper’ waiver, then email the completed waiver to: programs@mvc.on.ca.
Echoes of the Past: Music in Mississippi Mills is the exhibition on display at the North Lanark Regional Museum. Discover the evolution of music in the home, the role of music in the church and the community, and music in wartime. The exhibit runs until to May 2026 at the museum, open Monday-Saturday from 10AM-3PM.
March Break Skates occur from 1-3PM in both Almonte and Pakenham. Almonte’s event is sponsored by ComfortPro, and Pakenham’s by Shalynn Marsh, Realtor.
A Public Skate takes place from 4-5PM at the John Levi Community Centre in Almonte. Public Skating fees apply.

Tomorrow: The Parents ‘n Tots Skate happens Tuesdays (and Wednesdays) from 11AM-Noon at the John Levi Community Centre (182 Bridge Street, Almonte).
There will be a St. Patrick’s Day Skate from Noon-130PM at the John Levy Community Centre, sponsored by Celtfest.
Pick-Up Hockey for Grades 10-U21 happens from 4-5PM at the John Levi Community Centre. Admission is $5, and full equipment is required.
Shake Your Shamrocks occurs at Almonte Legion Branch 240 from 5-9PM, featuring The Wilson Brothers.
Admission is free.
A St. Patrick’s Day Dance takes place from 8-1155PM at the Stewart Community Centre in Pakenham. This year’s featured performers are the Ryans.
Carleton Place:

The Cowguy Jon Show takes place from 10-11AM at the Carleton Place Arena, 75 Neelin Street. The free performance is proudly sponsored by Michale Fyke Realty.
A Mini Maker Information Session happens from 10-11AM at the Carleton Place Public Library 101 Beckwith Street. The Mini Maker Craft Fair is slated for November, and this is an opportunity to find out all about it. While you’re there, there’s a Create Your Own Storybook session from 1030AM-8PM.
The Beyond Curling Social Scene happens from 1130AM-330PM at the Curling Club, 120 Patterson Crescent.
There are two Potion Making sessions at Dark and Deadly Cafe, 1 Costello Drive. 10AM-Noon, or 12-2PM. Little spellcasters will mix, scoop and create their own enchanted bath bomb “potions”. Registration with The Wedding Nanny is required.

St. Patrick’s Day at St. James Gate, 111 Bridge Street, happens from 1130AM-10PM. It’s Live music all day from open to close, with Cait Porteous(11:30-2:30), Bryan Snider (3:00-6:00), (6:30-9:30 Wild Nashville). No reservations, first come, first served.
The Carleton Place Community Lunch takes place from Noon-1PM at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street.
A A Labubu Crafternoon runs from 130-330PM at the Carleton Place Public Library. Make your own soft and fuzzy 2D Labubus by customizing fur colours, creating fun outfits, and being creative in paying fun homage to this popular toy!
It’s St. Patrick’s Day at the Legion, 177 George Street from 2-6PM. Music by Dave Brown. Cost is $20 per person, a stew lunch is included and tickets are available at the bar.
Civitan Weekly Bingo is on from 430-9PM at the Carleton Place Arena, 75 Neelin Street.

The final game in the EOJHL’s Richardson Division Semi-Final Playoff series between the Arnprior Packers and the Renfrew Junior Timberwolves is scheduled for tonight at 830PM at the Nick Smith Centre (if necessary).
