The Arnprior and District Food Bank serves an ever-increasing clientel from its location at the St. John Chrysostom Parish Hall, where it is open to the public every Monday. Registrar Allison Jones assuages any anxieties a newcomer may have by making all feel welcome. Her volunteer role is one many that keep the Food Bank functioning. On Mondays when operational, volunteers set up tables and intake inside the Parish Hall at 295 Albert Street. Allison say the process includes up to 20 roles for the volunteer to facilitate. Jones has previous experience in helping handle food insecurity with her work at the Ottawa Food Bank Farm in Stittsville.
