Arnprior:
Take Note: At 2PM on October 25th, the community is welcome to join Chrystal Toop, a proud member of the Pikwàkanagàn First Nation. Chrystal, owner/operator of Blackbird Medicines (blackbirdmedecines.ca), will speak about her practice as an Indigenous Death Doula and practitioner of plant and Land-based spiritual and cultural wellness on unceded Algonquin territory. Chrystal’s talk is free for everyone and refreshments will be served.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: Baby Time, featuring songs, rhymes and stories for ages up to 12 months (with a caregiver) is offered at the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library from 10-1030AM.
Film in the Afternoon runs from 1-3PM. Stop by the Almonte library branch for their monthly movie feature.
Check the library website for the movie title of the month. No registration required. Room capacity is 30 people.
The Spanish Conversation Group meets at the Almonte branch every second Wednesday from 4-5PM.
This is a casual Spanish conversation group so some knowledge of Spanish is required to participate. We will engage in normal topics of conversation as the weather, food, traveling, hobbies, etc. to help with fluidity of spoken Spanish. Please check the library’s website to ensure program is running on the day you want to attend.

A Meal for All’s Free Community Breakfast takes place from 830-1030AM at 111 Church Street in Almonte. A MEAL FOR ALL strives to build community by providing opportunities to gather and share food.
Carleton Place:
Today: The Free Community Breakfast is offered from 830-1030AM at St. James Anglican Church, 225 Edmund Street.
Families in Crisis: You’re Not Alone discusses social alienation or isolation due to coping with drugs, addictions or isolation. Events in the series run Wednesdays from 5-6PM at St. Mary’s Parish Hall, 28 Hawthorne Avenue in Carleton Place.
Tomorrow:
Film Screening – “There’s A Place for Me Here” happens from 6-730PM at the Carleton Place Public Library.
Join the Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) team for the screening of “Lanark County Voices … There’s a Place for Me Here,” an inspiring documentary that shares the voices of thirteen members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community living in Lanark County. Through their stories of belonging, challenges, and hope for the future, this film captures both the progress made and the work still ahead in creating a welcoming community for all. The event is a part of the Local Immigration Partnership’s Culture Connect event series – fall edition.

Arnprior Rivermen host the Shawville Pontiacs at the Deep River Arena on Saturday October 25th at 630PM
