September is recognized as National Library Card Sign-Up Month, and the people who run the Carleton Place Public Library ought to know!
Did you know that with a library card, you can get free admissions to Ottawa Museums, tickets to all regular season Carleton Place Canadians games at the Arena, free seeds for your garden in the spring, or borrow a radon detector to assure your home is free from radiation?
If you pay your taxes to Carleton Place or Beckwith, just stop in with some current photo ID that shows your address and you can get a card and get started on taking advantage of these opportunities.
What else can you get on your card? Puzzles, DVDs, eBooks and Audiobooks, magazines, swim passes for the whole family, parking passes to Provincial Parks, ski passes in the winter, or tickets to a Mississippi Mudds show.
Knowledge goes hand-in-hand with your Carleton Place Public Library card as well- from the library’s catalogue of resources, or through inter-library loan.
Stop in this month to get a library card and you’ll be entered into a draw for a fun prize basket full of great items. It’s just one more reason to love your library.
