A number of cases of intimate partner violence have been reported of late in Lanark County- the most recent being an incident Monday afternoon in Montague Township. A 40-year-old resident faces charges of Uttering threats, Voyeurism, and transmission of an image without consent. There were also three weapons-related charges involved, leaving the accused with a court date of September 22nd.
On Saturday, a 70 year-old Perth resident was charged by Lanark OPP with Forcible confinement, Assault and intimidation, and the individual appeared in court yesterday (August 19th).
And, at the other end of the demographic scale, police claim that charges against two youths stemming from an incident Friday August 15th were also at least in part intimate partner-related.
