Take Note: The Arnprior Lions Club’s Annual Jail and Bail Event is coming up Saturday June 14th at the Giant Tiger Parking Lot. One of the culprits behind bars is the Valley’s own Wayne Rostad! For more information call Lion Don Gougeon at 613-299-8704.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: Shuffling the Cards: The North Lanark Regional Museum invites you to join us Mondays at Noon for lunch and euchre! The new program “Shuffling the Cards” will run every Monday from 12-2:30 pm. Members of the community are invited for a nutritious lunch and a game of euchre. Admission is $5 per person.
This program is funded by the New Horizons for Seniors Program Grant.
Tomorrow: 3D Printing Help is available at the Almonte Library Branch from 1230-2PM. Grant Montag is the library’s volunteer 3D print Ambassador.
Carleton Place:
Today: The Alzheimer’s Community Support Group meets from 130-330PM. The Carleton Place Public Library is proud to partner with the Alzheimer’s Society of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville to offer a Caregiver Support group. These monthly meetings for caregivers are offered to any person caring for a loved one living with dementia. Join a representative from the Alzheimer’s Society of Lanark Leeds and Grenville for opportunities to develop a social network, coping strategies and to meet others in similar situations. Drop-ins are welcome, but connecting with the Alzheimer’s Society beforehand is appreciated. It’s Library Book Club Night from 630-8PM at the Carleton Place Public Library. This month, we’re reading BEARTOWN by Fredrik Backman. This is the last book club meeting before breaking for summer.
Tomorrow: The Carleton Place Community Lunch takes place at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street, from Noon to 1PM.
