Maybe you heard about it in History Class- maybe you didn’t, but should have.
Perth area author Michael Dupuis joins the Carleton Place Public Library on Saturday, May 10th at 1PM
to discuss his book, “The Winnipeg General Strike: Ordinary Men and Women Under Extraordinary Circumstances.”
For a month and a half in 1919, the Winnipeg General Strike Committee superseded the civic administration in the City until quashed by police and military intervention.
Michael Dupuis is a former history teacher who brings the Strike’s lessons to life.
Whether you know a lot about this historical event or very little, Michael’s talk will be interesting!
A Q&A will follow and Dupuis will have copies of his work available for purchase at $20 each.
No registration necessary for this event.
