Here’s what’s going on in Arnprior and area over the next 48 hours.
Arnprior:
Take Note: The first annual “Bunny Run” is coming up Saturday April 19th, and is proving quite popular with residents. Because of limited registration spaces, Arnprior Recreation is maintaining a waiting list to try to satisfy as many participants as possible. There are 2k and 5k events and medals will be awarded to all who take part. Contact Lucas Power, Programming and Events Supervisor, at 613-623-7301 extension 1795.
Also Saturday, the Museum is hosting its first-ever “Repair Cafe”, from 2-4PM. Bring texile items you’d like to learn to fix, or have an expert teach you how to fix and enjoy the company of like-minded individuals.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: The Early Morning Bird Walk will be held each Wednesday in April from 630AM to 830AM. Today’s event is along James Naismith Way, Almonte with leader: Ken Allison. You do not need to register in advance, but please sign the standard MVFN waiver.
Baby Time and Story Time happen at the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library. Baby Time is for infants up to 12 months and their caregivers from 10-1030AM. Story Time is for ages 1-4 with caregiver and happens from 11-1130AM.
The Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust Community Auction gives you the opportunity to bid on various birdhouses while helping support the conservation work of the MMLT. Carleton Place:
Today: The Carleton Place Community Lunch takes place from Noon to 1PM at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street.
The Home Hospice North Lanark Caregivers Support Group meets at Carleton Place Terrace, 6 Arthur Street from 6-8PM
Local Sports:
The Arnprior McNab-Braeside United Soccer Club offers players age 4-50+ the opportunity to play soccer at the right level in their age group. See the program page on their website for details.
