Here’s what’s going on in Arnprior and area over the next 48 hours.
Arnprior:
Today: Arnprior has been hosting Team Latvia during the World Junior Hockey Warm-Up Camps. The final function associated with the event is the Exhibition Hockey Game between Latvia and Team Switzerland this evening. Doors open at 530PM. The match has long been sold out. If you’re one of the lucky ones with tickets, this is an International encounter and there will be mandated attendance requirements for you to conform with. These are posted at Arnprior.ca/WJC. The World Junior Championships are being hosted in Ottawa, starting on Boxing Day.
Take Note: Wintermission is back! With a new program, Monday Movement, headlining the campaign, there is plenty to do and see in your community this winter.
Other Wintermission activities include: Snowshoe Adventure; Walk the Halls; the halls of Arnprior District High School are open on Tuesdays from 6PM to 7:30PM for a safe walking experience. You must register through the Town’s website.
Take advantage of Holiday Ice Skating and programming running through February.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: The municipality will offer Free Christmas Public Skating in both Almonte and Pakenham from 1-3PM.
Tomorrow: The municipality will offer Free Christmas Public Skating in borh Almonte and Pakenham from 2-4PM.
Carleton Place:
The Town of Carleton Place wishes one and all the happiest of Holidays and best wishes in the Coming Year.
Take Note: Residents are reminded to join with elected representatives and Staff for the New Year’s Day Levee, 1PM at the Arena; Join Council for a free skate, hot dog and hot chocolate
Local Sports:
EOJHL: The League is on its Holiday Break. Play resumes Thursday January 2nd.
EOSL: Saturday December 28th: The Arnprior Rivermen travel to Manotick to play the Mariners at the Manotick Community Centre at 7:30PM
