Plowasaurus. The Big Leplowski. Plowy McPlowface.
If you have the perfect name for a Town of Arnprior snowplow, officials would like to hear from you.
The town has launched a Name the Plows contest, something CAO Robin Paquette says is a way of generating interest and engaging with the community. It’s something other municipalities have done that seemed like a fun idea to replicate, she said.
There are nine pieces of equipment needing names and staff are looking forward to seeing what the community comes up with.
The contest is open to residents of Arnprior only. Submissions can be completed via the online form or by completing the colouring page submission, which can be dropped off at Town Hall, the Nick Smith Centre or the Arnprior and District Museum.
What’s up for grabs for winners? A free swim or skate pass for your family, to be used in the next year.
Submissions for the Name the Plows contest will be accepted until Nov. 17 and winners will be contacted by phone in late November.
