Some of the story of Terramor Farms in Burnstown might be construed as a process of reverse engineering, but it’s a little more romantic than that. Luke Sheldrick comes from an organic farming background, his parents are long-standing figures in Arnprior’s Health Foods sector. The White Lake product met Dana Moores, his spouse to be, while each was working in Ottawa’s Restaurant Industry. Luke’s idea of a cool get-acquainted date was a trip to Burnstown for an afternoon of farm work on the veggie patch. But sure enough, the idea planted the seeds of romance, and the couple are now happily married organic and cut-flower farmers, with two young kids.
Terramor Farms has been in operation for the past eight years, and since COVID has grown to a farm business with a staff of eight serving primarily an Ottawa Restaurant client base, augmented by Valley eateries and weekly home veggie basket customers. Terramor’s cut flower business has expanded from bouquets to a full-range of floral wedding accessories in the last three years.
