A lot of preparation goes into making Cold Bear Breweries Oktoberfest a success.
Braumeister Hugh Colbert says the annual event has two sessions, and the morning function is “family-friendly”
The morning session ran from 11:30AM to 4PM.
Session 2: 4:30PM-10PM
Participants could also attend both sessions by purchasing a Day Pass, 1130AM to 10PM, as did buddy.
Colbert says the kettles were cooking up the Oktoberfest Lager (5.6 percent) a couple of months in advance.
Chris Toner, no stranger to Arnpriorites, is one of Cold Bear’s ownership group of four- and he really gets into the act.
Not only does Toner get into the act, he embodies the spirit.
As we’ll come to see, he doubles as M-C.
Bratwurst is a staple in Munich, to go along with what you imbibe, and nobody locally does it better than Big Red BBQ.
Hugh Colbert says the polka band rocked it at Cold Bear’s morning Session- but during the evening event, the Dealmakers clinched it.
Don’t worry Mom, with a comment like that, be listening for the rest of our interview with the band, shortly;
but right now: “the Dealmakers, on Oldies 107.7”
The Dealmakers were pressed into service to do the warm-up for the evening Beer Stein holding contest, hosted by the inevitable Chris Toner!
And that concludes our nine-clip montage of some of the fun at Cold Bear Brewery’s third annual Oktoberfest- if you missed it- a greater capacity is promised for next year, where you can measure your own capacity; Prost!
