Arnprior:
Poutine Feast has arrived in Arnprior! The four food truck caravan is at Robert Simpson Park until Sunday, on its second-last stop on this year’s circuit. Each wagon has its own signature version of the classic cheese, fries and gravy dish. There’s old fashioned family games, with face-painting and temporary tattoos, miniature donuts, and a lemonade stand. Poutine Feast will overlap Sunday’s Terry Fox Run.
The McNab-Braeside Men’s Shed celebrates its grand re-opening in the new location at the old Braeside School House on Saturday, from 10-2. It has a food truck too- as the Lions’ Club will be there serving up free burgers and hot dogs for the event.
A reminder that with buses currently not running for schools served by the Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium (RCJTC), the Town expects more foot and vehicle traffic, especially around school zones. The Town of Arnprior would like to ask students and parents to consider “walking a block” and park just a five or ten-minute walk away from the school. It will help ease congestion around the school and provide families an opportunity to get a few minutes of extra exercise.
Please visit below for a list of public parking lots, cross walks with crossing guards and tips for crossing the road safely: www.arnprior.ca/schoolsafety.
Arnprior Packers host the Renfrew Junior Timberwolves tonight at the Nick Smith Centre in their initial season encounter.
