On July 27th, the highly anticipated BRIDGE STREET SUMMERFEST will make its return in 2024. Downtown Carleton Place will be transformed as Bridge Street becomes a bustling hub of entertainment and vendors.
That’s Downtown Carleton Place BIA spokesperson and organizer, Paisley Woods, who indicates the event has morphed to what it is today over time.
The BIA spokesperson estimates between three and five thousand people took in the function in 2023, despite a touch of inclement weather.
Paisley says Summerfest is a collaborative venture resting on several people’s shoulders.
Because everything is street level, the performers have to fit the format.
Back by popular demand, but with two shows this year instead of one is fan-favourite Scott Jackson, Champion BeatBoxer.
The first 250 attendees will receive a small backpack you can use as a tote for merchandise or store your sunscreen, hat and water bottle within.
The Downtown Carleton Place spokesperson reminds us Summerfest offers plenty for the kids.
Paisley says others of the Summerfest activities are suited to all ages.
She says prepare to be amazed by the diverse range of artisans, makers, crafters, vintage & thrift resellers, pop-ups, and remarkable local businesses that will fill Bridge St with an array of discoveries.
And if you’re enjoying your experience to the max, you’ll want a selfie, right?
Paisley says she really enjoys her job, and helping to share the community with its guests.
