It’s an opportunity to train for an increasingly in-demand career and earn financial rewards while doing it.
Arnprior Regional Health (ARH) is partnering with Willis College to offer a 30-week ‘Living Classroom’ program for Personal Support Workers (PSWs). The program aims to entice future graduates to Arnprior and the Valley.
Officials say students can receive up to $5,440 during their clinical placement, and graduates will receive $10,000 in exchange for a 12-month commitment to a long-term care facility.
And, when students have successfully completed the program and meet the employment requirements, ARH offers guaranteed, immediate employment.
This hybrid program will see students studying online for the theory portion of their course and attending in-person sessions at the Old Grove building in Arnprior. The eight-week clinical placement portion will take place at the new Grove Home.
Also, if you know someone who would make a great PSW, you could earn $250 through the referral program.
More information on the ARH/Willis College program is available on the Willis College website.
