The Bonnie Crombie Road Show toured Ottawa, Carleton Place and Almonte last weekend (the February 24th weekend).
She’s the former Mississauga Mayor, who now heads Ontario’s Liberal Party.
Crombie met with farmers, elected officials, small business owners, housing advocates and local party members during the visit.
Says the Grit boss, “In Ottawa, I heard from housing advocates how Doug Ford has failed to act to make housing affordable.”
From business owners in Orléans and Almonte, she was told of their operational challenges, and throughout Lanark County, elected officials and farmers told Crombie they need a government willing to invest in rural infrastructure rather than turn a cold shoulder.
To wrap up the visit the newly-minted leader, together with Ottawa South MPP John Fraser, attended a sold-out 250 dollar a plate gathering in Carleton Place attended by over 100 Liberal supporters.
