On Tuesday (February 13th) Main Street in Almonte was reopened to alternating two-way traffic and temporary traffic lights were installed.
The move comes following temporary stabilization works at 38 Main Street East (Dungarvon Building).
To permit both eastbound and westbound traffic to use this lane, it will be regulated with temporary traffic lights to facilitate alternating two-way traffic.
With this modification, a temporary speed limit reduction of 30 km/h is now in effect for Main Street between Martin Street and Union Street.
Union Street North remains closed because the exclusion zone in this area was not able to be reduced.
