Shovels are in the ground on schedule to build the new Carleton Place Regional Health Hub designed to create one (1) destination for the community’s primary care needs.
The Ottawa Valley family Health Team says the planned new building is already attracting doctors in support of the 5,000 local patients without a primary care provider.
The OVFHT has received Ministry of Health approval and provincial and municipal money to enhance primary care by expanding its Mississippi Mills catchment to include Carleton Place and Beckwith.
M+H Properties Group will lead the development of the facility which will centralize all local family physicians into one (1) medical clinic and provide the additional supports of OVHT specialized programming (e.g., COPD and Asthma Program, Memory Clinic, Adolescent and Child Mental Health Program) and complementary, third-party healthcare services such as a pharmacy and diagnostics.
The site, located on Costello Drive in Carleton Place is being co-developed by M+H Properties with Gallivan Development.
Phase 1 is slated to open in fall 2024.
Please note the OVFHT does not have a waiting list for new patients at the Carleton Place Regional Health Hub or its Almonte location.
