Drinking Water Protection Zone Road Signs are appearing across Carleton Place to advise residents of the boundaries of the community’s Source Water Protection Zone.
It is important for residents to be aware that what you do both inside and outside your home can have a direct impact on the Town’s drinking water quality.
Residents living near or within the source water protection zone are the first line of defence in protecting the Mississippi River watershed, and ultimately have a direct role in protecting our Town’s drinking water.
Residents can find more information by linking to the Drinking Water Source Protection Page of the Mississippi-Rideau Source Protection Region.
